Kim Povlsen Officially Starts as Chief Executive Officer at Bluefors
Kim Povlsen has today officially stepped into his new role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bluefors. He now leads our global team of 700 employees, delivering industry-leading cooling systems for quantum technology.
Kim’s appointment was first announced in May 2025. He joins Bluefors from Universal Robots A/S, where he served as President and CEO. Earlier in his career, Kim held several leadership positions at Schneider Electric, a global high-tech company, where he led business transformation and technology strategies across Europe, the US, and Asia.
Over the last few months, Kim has been preparing to take the reins alongside Interim CEO and Founder Rob Blaauwgeers, who has guided Bluefors from its inception to its current position as the industry leader. As part of the transition, Kim has engaged closely with teams across our global locations, gaining hands-on insight into our technologies, operations, and customer partnerships. With a strong background in leadership and a clear vision for the future, Kim arrives ready to lead Bluefors from day one.
