Measurement System

The SD-4K Measurement System is a compact system for performing experiments at 4 K with a very fast turnaround. 

The SD-4K system is a compact and affordable measurement system for 4 K experiments based on the form factor of our SD Dilution Refrigerator Measurement System.

The SD-4K system requires no lab layout or on-site installation, and it is easy to operate. A simple push of a single button is all it takes to initiate a fully automated cooldown from room temperature to base temperature, and its fast turnaround means more experiments can be carried out in shorter timeframes.

A superconducting magnet can be integrated into the measurement system, and the system can be upgraded to a Dilution Refrigerator Measurement System at any later stage.

Upgradeable to a Dilution Refrigerator Measurement System

The SD-4K system is an SD system without the dilution unit and the Gas Handling System. However, the SD-4K gives you the possibility to upgrade to a dilution refrigerator measurement system at a later stage. Upgrading only requires 3–4 days for on-site installation.


Temperature Controller

The Bluefors Temperature Controller enhances the user experience of our cryogenic systems. With a modern and intuitive user interface, you gain direct control and overview of the temperature status of the system.

Layout Overview

Each of our systems is designed to be installed to a specific location defined in advance. A separate layout drawing is made for each Bluefors system, which should always be referred to for exact dimensions.

Facility Requirements
