The Long-Life Cold Trap enables the continuous operation of the system for up to three years.

Our unique Long-Life Cold Trap enables continuous operation of systems for up to three years, when used together with the LN2 Trap. Continuous operation time of the system is based on empirical calculations with normal system performance.

The trap is integrated into the system, and does not need any cryogenic liquids to operate, making it a care-free solution. It regenerates during system warm-up and does not require manual operation.

The Long-Life Cold Trap also allows the system to be operated without the LN2 Trap with a decreased continuous operation time. However, the LN2 Trap is still needed to clean the mixture during the initial cooldown of the system.

The Long-Life Cold Trap consumes 120 mW of available cooling power at the 4K Flange, reducing the amount of cooling power available for experimental needs.
