Bluefors and Delft Circuits Join Forces on Scalable Quantum I/O for Next-Generation Quantum Computers

Helsinki, Finland & Delft, Netherlands, September 30, 2025 – Bluefors, the world leader in cryogenic measurement systems, today announced a strategic partnership with Delft Circuits to offer their turnkey quantum input/output (I/O) solutions. By integrating Delft Circuits’ Cri/oFlex® technology into Bluefors’ dilution refrigerators, customers will now benefit from a complete, proven, fully scalable quantum I/O solution.
This collaboration answers a growing need in the quantum industry to support systems with vastly increased qubit counts. Together, Bluefors and Delft Circuits provide an industrialized, modular solution that allows customers to scale faster and more efficiently — and ultimately control more qubits than ever before.
Demand for flexible I/O solutions is accelerating as researchers and commercial companies build ever-larger and more complex quantum systems. Customers today seek cost-effective wiring infrastructure solutions that combine performance, reliability, and scalability.
The new partnership delivers one-stop-shop convenience by offering Delft Circuits flexible, high-density Cri/oFlex® solution pre-installed and fully tested in Bluefors’ cryogenic measurement systems. With integrated attenuation and filtering components, configuring, installing, and maintaining multiple components becomes a thing of the past.
Delft Circuits’ high-density I/O solution delivers up to 50% more channels per side-loading port to Bluefors systems, providing a total number of 1 536 input or control lines to an XLDsl System. In addition, more wiring lines can be added to multiple KF ports (custom option). Utilizing a standardized, modular, monolithic design which reduces potential points of failure, customers can more easily upgrade their systems with technology proven in labs and cryogenic environments worldwide. The two companies have also published a joint research paper validating the technical performance of Cri/oFlex® in Bluefors cryogenic measurement systems with real qubits.
Bluefors Interim CEO and Founder, Rob Blaauwgeers, explained the benefits of the new partnership for customers: “Delft Circuits is at the forefront of flexible cabling technology. Our extensive testing has confirmed that their Cri/oFlex® solution delivers microwave performance on par with conventional coaxial solutions, while offering superior thermal performance. Together, we can now provide customers with a complete, future-proof solution to accelerate their quantum research and development.”
Delft Circuits co-founder Daan Kuitenbrouwer added: “This partnership comes on the heels of the launch of our 5-year roadmap showing how our Cri/oFlex® technology will overcome quantum computing’s biggest bottleneck—scaling reliably from hundreds to thousands of qubits. Today, partnering with Bluefors allows us to bring our technology to a much wider customer base. Our Cri/oFlex® lines were designed from the ground up to meet the demands of scalable quantum systems, and this collaboration is a big step in industrializing quantum I/O at scale. I could not be more excited to further scale our business with this partnership”
Bluefors’ addition of Delft Circuits’ powerful new solution to their extensive measurement infrastructure, marks a significant offering improvement for both new and existing customers.
