Scaling up quantum computers demands an increase in the number of wiring lines to carry signals between the room temperature control electronics and the quantum chips inside the dilution refrigerator. This creates one challenge: the addition of more DC and microwave wiring lines, along with any active electronics, increases the thermal load in the dilution refrigerator. To compensate for the increased heat, additional cooling power is needed, especially at the 4K flange – and that’s exactly what Bluefors’ latest proprietary cooling innovation delivers.

By optimizing the integration of Cryomech pulse tubes into Bluefors dilution refrigerators, our systems now benefit from up to 3 times more cooling power at the 4K flange, enabling elevated 4K flange temperatures up to 4-5 K.

With the new enhanced 4 K cooling feature, the LD System can better handle both passive and active heat load from expanded wiring and cryogenic components. This has enabled us to design the LD400sl System with the side-loading feature. This makes our side-loading measurement infrastructure options 100% compatible between the LDsl and XLDsl systems, making the LD400sl the ultimate testing system.

Join our webinar to learn how this new enhanced cooling solution – developed through a collaboration between our R&D teams in Helsinki and Syracuse – delivers powerful cooling performance unmatched anywhere else in the industry.
