Liquid Nitrogen Cooling

The AL600 Gifford-McMahon Cryocooler delivers 600 W of cooling power at 80 K, making it highly effective for condensing nitrogen gas into liquid form. As liquid nitrogen boils at 77 K, the AL600 operates in a temperature range that supports both its liquefaction and stable storage. Its high cooling capacity, and compatibility with liquid nitrogen production systems, make it ideal for medium to large-scale applications across research, medical, and industrial settings.

Systems using the AL600 are deployed worldwide to cool liquid nitrogen in different applications from medical labs to agriculture, demonstrating the cryocooler’s versatility and reliability.

The AL600 can also be used as an alternative to liquid nitrogen-based cooling of high-temperature superconducting systems, such as those used in superconducting power delivery. The cryocooler can be utilized to cool superconducting cables in superconductor fault current limiters (SFCL) applications.
