Helsinki as a Home

Helsinki is a forward-looking and vibrant place to live and work. With an international vibe, excellent working conditions, and accessible social services, it’s an easy city to relocate to. Finland is famous for its high quality of life, and emphasis on personal freedom, inclusiveness, safety, and equality.

Public transportation in Helsinki is also well organized and even the roads are not heavily congested. Bluefors Helsinki has excellent transportation connections, with train, tram, and bus stops right next to it. The city is also surrounded by nature, including 2 national parks, 100s of islands, and some of the cleanest air in the world.

Award-winning Facilities

Our facilities in Helsinki include more than 9 000 m² of production and office space, including our Cryo Hall with a testing capacity of 40 systems.

The facilities were recently renovated to give us workspaces that promote work well-being, encourage collaboration, and create transparency. The work environment concept created during the renovation won the Workplace Awards in 2022.

The facilities include our on-site restaurant, Onnes, which forms the hub of our facilities with two in-house chefs making sure there is delicious food available every day. You’ll also find a gym, and, of course, a sauna!

TALENT COMMUNITY

Cool Career Opportunities

At our Bluefors Helsinki HQ, we have all the functions a modern production company needs; from Logistics to Sales & Marketing, Production to Technical Support, R&D to Sourcing & Procurement, People Operations to Finance – and many more.

We embrace the versatility of our employees and truly learn from each other every day. We celebrate our diversity across our different backgrounds, nationalities, and points-of-view as assets that help to make us a stronger team.

We also support our employees to grow and educate themselves further. As our company continues to grow, many internal career possibilities are available. Continuous development, learning, collaboration, and information sharing are fundamental to our way of working.

Employee Well-being

Taking care of employee health and safety is our top priority. Ensuring safe working conditions for everyone is an integral part of the day-to-day management of our operations. We aim for an open and healthy working environment for everyone, taking psychosocial workload factors into account by providing early stage support to reduce any potential negative factors such as stress and overload. Our extensive occupational health care is easy to access, and we provide wide-ranging insurance cover for our employees.

Our on-site restaurant, Onnes, offers healthy lunches (including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options), all available with lunch benefit pricing. Afterwards, you can burn off some of those delicious calories and take care of your well-being in our gym and sauna, both of which are free of charge.

We also offer additional benefits to our Finland-based employees, including flexible working hours, and sports/culture benefit, to name a few. Perhaps our greatest benefit is our open, international atmosphere, where everyone can be themselves.

We get to let our hair down at our annual summer party, departmental events, and other events that make up the Bluefors culture. Our employees also actively organize independent events and get-togethers — and warmly welcome all new employees.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can submit your application through the “apply here” button on the page of the position in question.

You can find that date on the job ad and on the right side of the position page.

We process open applications in our Talent Community, so join there!

If depends heavily on the position you’re applying for. Check here to see our recruitment process.

Our recruitment process can take anywhere from 3-6 weeks (after the application period), but of course this depends on the complexity of interviews that are required for each role. For example, some of our technical roles have tests and a few rounds of interviews, which can mean the process is slightly longer than others.

Sure you can! We can conduct most of our interviews online, except for production positions which need a skill test done on our premises.

Just remember, that at this point we do not offer any relocation package, so be sure you’re not only willing but also able to move.

All of our positions require physically joining the team in the office they’re based in.

You can find the name and email address of the hiring manager on our job ads. Contacting them directly will help you to get more specific information regarding the position in question.

You can reach our recruiters at recruitment@bluefors.com.

We do, from time to time. Send your message (including your CV and application letter for an internship) to recruitment@bluefors.com and we’ll check from appropriate supervisors if they have possibilities for internships.

Of course. The number of times you apply doesn’t count; what matters is that you have the skills we are looking for the position.

The hiring manager always makes the ultimate decision regarding who they recruit. We wish we could provide thorough feedback to each person who is rejected, but due to the amount of applications and only one hiring manager per position, we simply do not have capacity to give detailed feedback to each person who applies. Our hiring managers do their best to give as much feedback as possible.

You’re welcome to do so, just remember to fill in applications for both positions separately – and naturally with separate specific application letters.

Applying to multiple positions does not improve the chances of moving forward in the process.

You should always provide your documents written in English. Even though we’re based in Finland, many of our hiring managers don’t speak any Finnish – that’s natural, since we have around 50 different nationalities working at Bluefors!

The decision to invite you for interview is always based entirely on the information you provide on your CV and application. Therefore, it is extremely important to provide examples of the skills, knowledge and experience that you possess that relate to the role requirements.

We require the names and contact information (phone number or email address) of referees, not related to you, who are willing and able to provide up-to-date references on your qualifications, experience and skills. It would be good if one of these is your current or most recent employer. If you have not previously been employed, a referee related to relevant voluntary work or, if appropriate, your head teacher or lecturer from your last university.
