Bluefors Supports Quantum Ecosystem Initiatives through the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C)
To advance industry interaction and commercial collaboration, Bluefors has joined the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C®). The QED-C is an industry-driven consortium managed by SRI International with the mission to enable and grow a robust quantum-based industry and related supply chain. QED-C is supported by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the U.S. Department of Commerce and its more than 200 members, including more than 150 corporations from across the quantum supply chain including component suppliers/manufacturers, software and hardware system developers, service providers and end-users.
As a member of QED-C, Bluefors is dedicated to supporting QED-C’s initiatives in the quantum ecosystem necessary to enable technologies, standards, and workforce in the United States.
“Bluefors has strong focus on cryogenics for quantum technologies. We have made it our mission to make sure we provide the right technologies to support the players in the quantum ecosystem. Already in 2020, we established our office in New York to bring us closer to our customers and the community in North America. We are dedicated to establish an industrial supply chain for cryogenics and now being part of QED-C is another step towards this goal. ” says David Gunnarsson, CTO at Bluefors.
